The term cholesterol has been around for many years now. But, very few know what it actually means. Chemically, it is simply a lipo-protein. There are several different kinds of cholesterol, some good, some bad. Too much of the bad ones can lead to plaque building up in the arteries. The danger from this is that there really is no way to remove plaque that is stuck onto the arterial walls, it increases with time, and eventually it may cause a total blockage, leading to a heart attack or a stroke.
