National Lifeguard Course - Becoming a Lifeguard

Before taking the National Lifeguard Service award course you must have completed the following:

Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid, CPR level C. In addition you must be 16 years of age at the last day of the course.

Physical Standards: if you can do these skills before you start your course it will make things easier for you.

It is strongly recommended that you be physically fit prior to the course. Most courses are fairly intensive and if you are not ready you will suffer and not be able to keep up.
